Purchase Ledger Administrator

Our client is looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join a busy and fast paced manufacturer in Milton Keynes.

Position: Purchase Ledger Administrator
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm
Salary: DOE
Responsibilities
• 80% purchase ledger, 20% bank reconciliation
• To ensure that all supplier invoices are loaded onto SAP, are accurately coded to the correct cost centre and expense code and approved in a timely manner
• To closely monitor that invoices are approved by the Budget Holders in line with supplier payment credit terms and to proactively engage with the business to avoid bottlenecks in the system
• To generate purchase ledger payment runs as required
• To generate and manage Trade loan and direct stock payments
• Ensure supplier accounts are reconciled and issues addressed
• To carry out selected bank reconciliation
• Various other ad hoc duties relating to insurance, vehicles, etc
• Processing and payment of staff expenses
• Inter-Company Transfers
• Ensure the daily posting of cash across multiple currencies
• Company Car administration
• Setting up and updating supplier accounts

Experience Required

• Accounting knowledge and experience required
• Experience in one/or more of the following: Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, payment processing/allocation
• SAP experience desirable
• Bank reconciliation experience
• Experience in problem solving and query management
• Being self-motivated to work in a busy, high volume, fast paced environment
• Confident in articulating and communicating financial information to a wider audience
