Are you a dynamic Production Engineer ready to contribute your expertise to a forward-thinking organization? Our client in Bedford is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Production Engineer and play a key role in our innovative manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Production Engineer, you will:

* Determine manufacturing methods for new products, establishing individual operational standard times.
* Develop and modify programs for CNC machines using CAM systems, creating setup sheets and tooling lists.
* Stay abreast of industry advancements by examining new machine tools, cutting tools, and related processes through journals, visits, and exhibitions.
* Investigate and justify capital equipment purchases.
* Coordinate sub-contract sources, ensuring quality, price, and delivery accountability.
* Train and assist engineers, operators, and apprentices.
* Contribute to cross-functional project teams focused on improving manufacturing efficiency.
* Evaluate and recommend changes for improved productivity in production-related services.
* Lead the introduction of new machine tools, providing support during the initial implementation.
* Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling equipment essential for production.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have:

* Proficiency in working with engineering drawings at ISO 9001:2015 standards.
* Demonstrable knowledge of metal cutting, turning, and milling/drilling processes.
* Competence in programming CNC machine tools using CAM systems.
* Experience in process planning products through manufacturing.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
* Flexibility, a hardworking attitude, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
* Composure under pressure and a proactive, efficient team-oriented approach.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

* Essential: HNC in Production Engineering.
* Desired: HND in Production Engineering.
