Celebrating 30 Years in Recruitment
Always been an early bird, I get out of bed at 5.45am (much to the annoyance of my husband who likes a lay in – especially when I continue the same pattern at the weekend!) a cup of green tea and then leisurely make breakfast, usually fruit granola and yoghurt. I then faff about for a while which I am particularly good at in the mornings!
In the office generally by 7.30 am as prefer that end of the day, then I am good to leave between 5 and 5.30 to get to a gym class (body combat or attack) to round off the work day nicely!
Work will consist of whatever needs doing, client stuff, sales, working with the branches or working out new legislation and the application to the business. Working with the management team on their branch plans and target clients, what will be the next step and what is our strategy to bring clients on board and target the businesses we want to work with. All sorts – there is always a list of things to do, never a dull moment (well sometimes maybe), but the best thing is, I do still genuinely love my job even after 25 years.
Recruitment is always changing so that means we are too, always a new challenge, a change in the candidate market or the clients’ requirements, we need to keep up to date with it all.
Home life is busy with friends and family, having 4 grandchildren is cool and another one on the way in August! I like to spend time at home and in the garden (when it stops raining), and I love to travel and love holidays – it’s what we all work for isn’t it?
