Happy Christmas from 1st Choice Recruitment 2008!
This year instead of the normal cards and client calendars they send 1st Choice Recruitment have decided to "go green" as well as supporting a local charity St John's Hospice at Moggerhanger.
Each year literally hundreds if not thousands of cards are sent by the five 1st Choice branches to all their clients and candidates to send them good wishes for the festive season. 1st Choice Recruitment has decided that many trees could be saved as a result of Christmas cards not being sent in abundance, only to be thrown away after the season has closed!
Instead, to maintain the festive goodwill and spirits, the funds normally spent on Christmas cards by the Company will this year be donated to St John's Hospice in Moggerhanger.
St John's Hospice is situated in the Bedfordshire countryside and has 15 inpatient beds. The hospice offers specialist short-term palliative care for patients with life-limiting illnesses including Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, heart, liver and lung failure.
Pictured opposite are Gill Knight, Chief Exec and Claire Phillips, Bedford Manager, of 1st Choice Recruitment, starting off the fund by handing a £500.00 cheque over to the fund raising team from St John's Hospice.
